Friends International and Christian Unions Ireland (formerly IFES Ireland) are partnering together to further the ministry to international students in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Hollie Tagle has been appointed the Project Team Leader and will oversee the 5-year project starting at the end of 2016. Initially the focus will be on understanding, supporting and developing the work in Belfast but this will be followed by promoting international student ministry elsewhere in Ireland.
Friends International is delighted to report that, from 1st September 2016, Alan Tower will be our new National Director.
Alan has been working for the last 23 years with the mission agency Latin Link, as Team Leader in Britain and Ireland and then more recently as International Team Leader. He will continue part time with Latin Link while the next International Team Leader appointment process is worked through.
Alan brings with him these many years of missional leadership experience as well as a profound desire to see people of all backgrounds come to know Jesus.
“I learnt many things over the weekend from the lectures, the outdoor team activities and a new definition of success and team spirit.” – TRUE 2016 delegate
The 2016 TRUE Leadership retreat (June 9th-12th) saw international students coming together at the Quinta Centre in Shropshire, to grow and excel in their leadership potential.

Endorsements for Returning Home from academic professionals:
"I am delighted to be able to recommend 'Returning Home' to my students. It is a honest, thorough and constructive approach to 're-entry issues' for international students returning home with the challenges and opportunities that brings."
